Pharrell is leaving his mark in Hollywood.  And not just with his music.  The superstar singer and producer showed off his family at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.  And we've got pics of the newest STAR inside....

That little Rocket may be the only sight that could upstage papa P on his big day.   The uber cute kiddie, who recently turned 6, posed it up with dad Pharrell and mom Helen and family as P copped his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday:

Mr. Pharrell Williams.  The father, husband, singer, producer, fashion designer, songwriter, creative director, artist (and the list goes on) was recognized for his major contributions to the Hollywood world.  And his new Star is well deserved.

P even got some love from talk show host Ellen during his big honor.

Last night, it was the guys’ turn to pose it up on the carpet at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year party in L.A. Peep the sophisticated looks from Dave Chappelle, Terrence J, Terry Crews, Blake Griffin and more inside.

For this year’s GQ Men (and Women) of the Year list, a few YBF men were honored.

Comedian Dave Chappelle,Get On Up actor Chadwick Boseman and openly gay free agent Michael Sam made the distinct list of game changers who left their mark in 2014. And to celebrate, the 19th annual GQ “Men of the Year” party was held at Chateau Marmont in L.A.
 

GQ cover guy Dave Chappelle joined the celebs who are using their platforms to raise awareness to social issues. He hit the carpet holding his arms up in the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” position in honor of Ferguson teen Mike Brown.

Joining him on the carpet was his wife of thirteen years Elaine Mendoza Erfe. Nice to see Dave back on the scene after he suddenly "fell off the face of the earth". In Dave’s GQ cover story, he talked about how he's feeling these days as he slowly returns to the limelight. He said, 

“I think that's probably my natural disposition. Obviously, in some situations or places, I'll be way more guarded. But I feel good this week. I had a nice week at home. I've been on the road nine out of the last twelve months this year, which was the most I've done in years, so I'm more accustomed to being around people. You know, for a while, I was kind of sequestered. Well, sequestered is not the right word. It was more like Superman's self-imposed exile.

Free-agent defensive end Michael Sam, who became the first openly gay male to join the NFL, hit the carpet to accept his award. He brought his boyfriend Vito Cammisano along as his date for the night.

And they're still getting kissy for the cameras. You’ll recall, the controversial kiss seen around the world of Michael and his boyfriend after the St. Louis Rams drafted him into the NFL. The former University of Missouri All-American player was later dropped by the team, picked up by the Cowboys (for the practice squad) and eventually dropped before ever playing an actual NFL game. Recently, he tweeted out that he still has hopes to one day play in the NFL.

Since his role as Jackie Robinson in 42, our crush Chadwick Boseman has been making big moves in Hollywood. The 37-year-old actor starred as James Brown in his biopic Get On Up. And most recently, it was announced he would become the first African-American Marvel superhero, starring in the upcoming flick The Black Panther. Nice!

E! News correspondent Terrence J and his girlfriend Nichole Issacs posed it up on the carpet together. Back in April, Terrence J put his model skills to work for a Stacey Adams spread.

And to show the fun dynamics in their relationship a little, the twosome goofed off in a photo booth during the party.

L.A. Clippers power forward Blake Griffin got dapper for last night's festivities.

The NBA baller caught up with his teammate Spencer Hawes and snapped it up with Dave.

One of our fave celeb couples Terry Crews and wife Rebecca Crews looked nice as they flashed their smiles for the cameras.

And of course Terry had to keep it fun.

COMPLEX cover guy Wale was in the mix. The MMG rapper took some time from the studio as he works on his upcoming album, The Album About Nothing, for a little fun.

Former NBA baller Scottie Pippen came out to party.

This season she said there will be a lot more love interests, extra drama with her family & friends, much more adversity AND….you guessed it…a LOT more sex.

In Rosario’s world, she’s gearing up for a new Netflix series brought to life by comic book giant Marvel. The two companies have teamed up to create mini-series of the street level characters to get fans familiar with them the way you would with the comics. She’s starring in the "Daredevil" series, reportedly playing a young woman trying to save Hell's Kitchen, who crosses paths with hero Matt Murdock.

After the taping, they snapped it up with a few fans from the audience.

After their super kissy tropical Thanksgiving vacay getaway, Diddy and Cassie was spotted exploring an art exhibit during Art Basel in Miami recently. And from the look on Cassie's face, she was not feeling the paps...at all. Ha!

As Diddy made his rounds, he fell in love with a Picasso piece he was gunning to get his hands on. Diddy had his eyes on a masterpiece called “Venus” at the Baz Luhrmann-designed booth at the Galerie Gmurzynska gallery.

Unfortunately for the Hip Hop mogul, once he returned (after kicking it with his homie Swizz Beatz), the piece was sold to Manhattan playboy hotelier Vikram Chatwal for a cool $1.2 million.

Rap moguel Russell Simmons and his older brother/ neo-African abstract expressionist painter Daniel Simmons Jr. hosted the 5th Annual BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Artisan Series Finale together.

For this year’s competition, BOMBAY SAPPHIRE and Russell and Danny Simmons' Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation searched the nation for the next big name in visual arts. The winner was announced yesterday during the event. And for the first time this year, the winner will receive solo exhibits at SCOPE NYC and the Rush Arts Gallery in March 2015. Nice!

Although they tried to save face a day after Thanksgiving when break-up rumors ignited, it appears Chris Brown and Karrueche have called it quits… yet again. More inside….

Last night, Chris Brown took the stage at Power 106's annual "Cali Christmas" Concert in L.A. And TheYBF.com was on the scene. Our YBF correspondent Lauren Smith reports during Breezy’s set, he made the announcement that he is SINGLE. Yes…he and Karrueche have broken up for the umpteenth time. Not surprised

After announcing his singledom status, he yelled out “F*CK that B*TCH”, then kicked off his performance to “These Hoes Ain’t Loyal” Sheesh!

Oh...and it gets messier:

Backstage, he was joined by Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner and Kylie Jenner all hugged up on a couch. Breezy posted the pic with the caption, "Look who came to see me! Love them" Umm....

Meanwhile....

Karrueche is down in Miami partying it up with Cassie and her friends. While enjoying her time with friends, she took a momen to address her recent break-up tweeting:

Oh? So she broke up with him this time? Interesting...

Kae doesn't seem bothered...at least for now. Guess we will see how this all pans out, especially after recent break-up rumors were circulating.

Photos of Breezy allegedly laid up with a groupie recently popped up on the Internet. And it just so happened that Kae issued a cryptic tweet that same day saying she was a "single lady". She later clarified she was referring to appearing on the actual show "Single Ladies", but she never directly addressed the groupie tale pics.

The two didn't spend Thanksgiving together, but the day after posted up some lovey-dovey pics as if everything was fine. Now...they're on the outs...again. How long before they get back together again?

Big Sean and Ariana Grande took the stage at KIIS FM’s 2014 Jingle Ball concert held at the Staples Center last night. And the chemistry between the lovebirds was definitely felt as they performed their duet, “Best Mistake”. We see you grabbing her butt Sean.

You'll recall, the 26-year-old G.O.O.D. rapper and his 21-year-old girlfriend hit the stage at the Very GRAMMY Christmas concert last month, performing the same track. But you can clearly see things got way more affectionate this go round. Mmmhmm...

And like the last time, they ended their performance exiting the stage arm-in-arm. Cute.

After nabbing his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Pharrell took the stage to rock the house with some of his hits.

Skateboard P nabbed himself SIX GRAMMY nominations for his album G.I.R.L. and song "Happy", including Album of the Year (which was announced last night). P, Beyonce  and Sam Smith (who were both also nominated for Album of the Year) lead with the most nominations this year.

For a special surprise, P was joined by a few kiddie fans onstage.

Then he rocked out with fellow "The Voice" judge Gwen Stefani.

In between performances, Nick Cannon and radio personality JoJo Wright cracked a few jokes.

We're sure they brought a few laughs.

Iggy Azalea joined Rita Ora to perform their duet "Black Widow".

Although Azealia Banks read Iggy to filth over her not speaking out about current issues involving the black community, Iggy appears unbothered. Which we're not surprised.

After her duet with Iggy, the British singer got it in for her solo set.

The trailers for LIFETIME’s Whitney Houston biopic and OXYGEN’s new reality show “Preachers of Detroit” has been released. Check them out inside…

We’re months away from the highly anticipated premiere of LIFETIME’s Whitney Houstonbiopic, debuting Saturday, January 17th at 8pm ET. And with the first official trailer, we finally get to see former “ANTM” chick Yaya DaCosta Alafia in action as the iconic Whitney Houston.

For Angela Bassett’s directorial debut, the LIFETIME telepic will chronicle the tumultuous relationship between the legendary singer/actress with her singer/songwriter ex-husband Bobby Brown (played by Belizean actor Arlen Escarpeta).

Much like the Aaliyah biopic, LIFETIME was unable to use Whitney’s original songs for the movie, so Grammy nominated singer Deborah Cox will be providing the vocals.

Power 106 held its Cali Christmas Concert last night. And it included performances by Chris Brown, Trey Songz, Tyga, Big Sean, T.I., J. Cole and more. Peep the pics and videos inside…

VA homies Chris Brown and Trey Songz have been hitting up stages together across the nation (and parties) as they gear up for their joint “Between the Sheets” tour.

Last night, they took their talents to the The Inglewood Forum for Power 106’s sold-out Cali Christmas Concert. And our YBF correspondent Lauren Smith was on the scene to check out Breezy & Trigga perform their remixes to "Tuesday" & "Songs On 12 Play".
 

For his solo set, Trigga kept the ladies in a sexy mood as she crooned his hit R&B tracks "Foreign", "Dive In", "NaNa" and more.

Ty Dolla $ign (with what appears to be a blunt in his hand) also came out to perform "Paranoid" remix.

Meanwhile, Breezy was busy tearing the stage up with his fast-paced dance moves as he rocked out to "X", "Strip", "New Flame" "Show Me" (joined by Kid Ink) and more.

Not only did he perform an explosive set, he also made the annoucement that he's single... again! Right before performing "Loyal" he yelled out "F*CK THAT B*TCH!" Sighs....

Tyga joined Breezy for his verse on "Loyal". He will be traveling with Breezy and Trigga for their "Between the Sheets" tour.

Big Sean was on double duty last night. He performed with his girlfriend Ariana Grande at the 2014 Jingle Ball Concert and made sure to drop a few bars at the Cali Christmas concert. The G.O.O.D. rapper performed "Clique", "Beware", "Dance (A$$)" and...of course "I Don't F*ck With You".

T.I. had his sweat rag handy as he got the crowd super turnt up with his set.

J. Cole also hit the stage before the packed out arena. During his set, he performed a snippet of his new track "Fire Squad" where he calls out white rappers (such as Iggy Azalea & Eminem) who've stolen from Black culture. The Roc Nation's latest album 2014 Forest Hills Drive drops Dec. 9th.

Tinashe hit the stage to perform her hit single "2 On" and was later joined by Kid Ink to perform "Body Language".

Go girl.

E-40 hit the stage for a surprise appearance.

And Lil Jon took the stage to perform while his son Nathan Smith dj'd his set set. Nice!

Grab yourself another tea bag and a scolding cup of water.....because Chris Brown just went all the way in on his now ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.  He's accusing her of cheating with Drake and treating him like "a regular n****" after he gave her the world.  Deets inside...

Late last night, Karrueche responded to Breezy's "F*** That B****!" rant during his Cali Christmas performance.  She said dudes stay in their feelings when you break up with them.  Hmph. 

And after she explained even more about why she peace'd out their relationship (for the one hundredth time), Breezy let loose with a vengeance.

Kae posted the below about smartening up and no longer  allowing herself to get mistreated. (By the way, this further lets us know she meant that "I'm a single lady again" ish when she said it....and it had nothing to do with the BET show like she tried to convince folks by saying.)

She wrote:

Once you find strength within yourself, it's hard to allow any type of bs around you. I refuse to be repeatedly mistreated especially by someone who claims to love me. That's not love. And if that's what you define as love then I don't want it. Yes, I have not been so smart before in the past but I made a promise to be a better and stronger woman and I'm keeping that promise. If you can't love me the right way, then don't love me at all. Don't be mad at me because I prefer to be happy. Keep love in your life folks. Not just love between people but love within your HEART, flowing in all aspects of your life. I promise life is so much better And in usual Breezy form, he deleted it.

So it sounds like she's smartened up and no longer wants to deal with the BS and mistreatment. 

And Chris is NOT having it.  He tweeted late Saturday night about basically giving her the world.  He accused her of being unappreciative since she when she no longer wanted to put up with his ish in exchange for a lifestyle.  He deleted all of this.  But we've got the screenshots:

And the "Loyal" singing Breezy did not stop there.  He decided to expose Kae and their relationship once and for all.  He accused her of cheating with Drake and making secret trips to Toronto.  Apparently she was down for threesomes at the beginning of their relationship.  Oh, and Chris says this ride-or-die act is just that.  She only went to visit hi one time during his 4-month jail stint.

Nicki Minaj returns to “Saturday Night Live” to put her acting skills to work for a couple of skits and hit the stage for a performance. Meanwhile, her boss Lil Wayne has confirmed he’s leaving Cash Money…sooner rather than later. More inside….

On last night’s episode of “Saturday Night Live”, Nicki Minaj was tapped as the musical guest, but she also joined in on a couple of funny skits. Y’all know chick knows a thing or two about acting…she did go to a performing arts high school.

For her first skit, the “Anaconda” raptress appeared in a Hip Hop Nativity scene featuring Rihanna, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Estelle Darlings and Justin Bieber. Nicki stars as the flawless “Virgin Mary” Beyonce and it is quite hilarious. Check it:

For another skit, the “Pills N Potions” rapper impersonated Kim Kardashian West on the Weekend Update. Nicki..or should we say “Kim” tried to explain what the nude Paper Magazine shoot was really about. Nicki’s head was photoshopped on Kim’s pic as they placed the photo on different backgrounds while Nicki tries to explain how the photo was taken out of context. Hmph. Check it below:

For those of you who thought Lil Wayne’s Twitter account was hacked and that he really didn’t tweet that he wanted OFF Cash Money…you’re wrong. Lil Wayne wants out and he wants out now!

After blasting Birdman (along with the label) for not releasing his album Tha Carter V, Wayne hit the stage at Vice’s 20th anniversary bash in Brooklyn Friday night to set the record straight. During his set, he confirmed that he’s in an "effed up" situation and he plans on being out of it soon. He said, “It’s a fucked up situation, but I will be out of it soon, and I do it for ya’ll!" But in a recent interview with Bijou of HOT 107.5, Deelishis keeps it real on what’s really going on between she and Wiz. According to her, she’s NOT messing with a married man because Wiz and Amber Rose are already divorced. Oh?

The former reality star also went on to say she and Wiz have NOT had sex (yet) and that she is NOT a homewrecker. She said she didn’t get involved with Wiz until after he was divorced (Hmm..she must know something we don't know). She said she’s a single woman and he’s a single guy and there’s nothing wrong with them liking each other. Not only that, she believes she could possibly be the thing to bring them back together. She dished,

“This is not even about sex. Sometimes when people go through stuff…I may be the glue that brings them back together. Sometimes you need that person in your life that gives you a little bit of enough peace so that you can see things clearly.”

When asked how she thinks Amber is handling seeing them together she said, “I don’t think she’s happy.”

For the sake of their family, Deelishis feels if they can work it out for Baby Bash, then that’s beautiful. As long as they’re happy, she’s all for it. She also said she has always been a fan of Amber Rose and has no reason to dislike her.

So how does she feel about dating a famous man? Deelishis said she never feels insecure and she actually likes when other women are gawking over her man. Hmm…wonder if she’ll feel the same way if/when she catches her “man” messing around with groupies.

Kanye & Kim West went on a cutesy date in NYC last night. Also, we have deets on Tika Sumpter starring as First Lady Michelle Obama in a new romance film. Peep the pics and get the deets inside….

It’s rumored Kanye West and his wife Kim Kardashian West didn’t spend this Thanksgiving together. But things still seem to be going strong (at least for now) in the West household.

After not being photographed together for weeks, the married couple (dressed in all black) reunited in NYC last night. Kanye treated his wife with an intimate evening at chocolate and coffee shop Serendipity 3. And as they were leaving, the paps caught the attention-seeking couple holding hands as they made their way to their waiting vehicle in the freezing rain.

It appears work may be the reason the two have been so much time apart. Kim has been busy trekking the globe promoting her new fragrance, while Ye has been making his rounds overseas in Paris and China recently. It seems kind of weird these two didn’t spend Thanksgiving together…could there be trouble in paradise or is it their demanding work schedules? Time will tell…

Looks like Tika Sumpter just landed herself a new gig!

Get On Up actress Tika Sumpter is reportedly playing the First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama in an upcoming romance film.

According to Deadline, a new movie titled Southside With You is in the works. And it will chronicle the summer of 1989 when President Barack Obama romantically pursued the love of his life on a date in Chicago’s southside.

A snippet about the film:

Obama, then an idealistic first-year Harvard Law student, took a summer job as an associate at Chicago law firm Sidley Austin where he fell for lawyer Michelle Robinson, his younger boss. Southside With You spans the day she agreed to go out with him when the two visited the Art Institute, took a long walk, and caught a showing of Spike Lee’s new film, Do The Right Thing. They were married in 1992.

Sweet! Filming is set to begin in July 2015 in Chicago. No word on who's playing a young Barack Obama since they’re still casting for the role. Who would you like to see star as a young President O?
 

In other Tika news, the "Have and the Have Nots" actress is currently filming Bessie, the story of legendary blues performer, Bessie Smith, who rose to fame during the 1920s and '30s. Chick is making moves...not mad.

Media Queen Oprah Winfrey was all smiles (in a purple gown) on the red carpet at The Legends Who Paved The Way Gala special screening of the Ava DuVernay-directed SELMA held at the Bacara Resort in Goleta, California last night.

Oprah serves as a producer (along with Brad Pitt) for the film and she will also be starring as civil rights activist Annie Lee Cooper in the Martin Luther King Jr. biopic.

She brought along her beau Stedman Graham as her date.

Cast mates Common (who plays a leader of the 1960s Civil Rights Movement James Bevel) and Niecy Nash (who stars as civil rights activist/author Richie Jean Jackson) posed it up on the carpet. Niecy is looking red hot!

Actor David Oyelowo brought his wife Jessica along for the special screening. The Butler star will play the prestigious Martin Luther King Jr. in the upcoming film. David is already nabbing awards for his role in the film. He will be honored by the 26th Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival as the breakthrough actor of 2014. The awards gala will go down on January 3rd.

Academy Award nominee Angela Bassett served some flawlessness in a black and white look on the carpet last night. She will be making her directorial debut in LIFETIME’s Whitney Houston biopic, which is slated to premiere January 19th. Peep the new trailer if you missed it here.

New dad Tyler Perry (who welcomed a baby boy recently) and legendary Motown record producer Berry Gordy came out to support.

“Deion’s Family Playbook” stars Deion Sanders and his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds color coordinated for the event. Looks like they aren't letting the recent drama involving Deion's ex-wife Pilar Sanders keep them in the house.

Oprah’s bestie Gayle King and her rumored boyfriend Senator Cory Booker looked like a happy couple as they posed it up on the carpet.

"Good Morning America" co-host Robin Roberts and her longtime girlfriend Amber Laign (whom she opened up about this year) flashed their smiles on the carpet.

Six-time Grammy award winner Toni Braxton slipped into a sexy black gown before hitting the carpet at the Urban League of Greater Atlanta’s 53rd Equal Opportunity Dinner in downtown Atlanta yesterday.

The “Braxton Family Values” star was honored with the Woman of Empowerment Award for her outstanding commitment to addressing autism (which one of her son’s has been diagnosed with), lupus and heart disease (two diseases she's living with).

During her acceptance speech, Toni made sure to thank everyone who attended the event and was overjoyed with being recognized for her efforts.

In the audience:

Toni's little sister Tamar Braxton and her mother Evelyn Braxton were there to support her for her accomplishment.

And of coure her sisters Trina Braxton (who is currently feuding with her estranged husband Gabe) and Towanda Braxton came out to support. They were spotted posing it up with Toni and "America's Next Top Model" winner Keith Carlos. Nice!

After two police officers escaped indictments in the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown and the fatal choke hold that took the life of father Eric Garner, peaceful protests have swept the nation. And now YBF celebs Tyrese (along with his daughter), Kevin McCall, Robert Riley, The Game, Reggie Bush, Derrick Rose and Diddy’s son Quincy are joining in on the action. Social unrest has been plaguing the nation after two police officers were recently not indicted after the killing of two African-Americans. A grand jury decided to not indict former Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson for the shooting death of unarmed teen Michael Brown. And most recently, a Staten Island grand jury decided not to indict officer Daniel Pantaleo for the fatal chokehold that took the life of father/husband Eric Garner.

Since the announcements, peaceful protests have popped up across the nation as protestors march for equal rights and justice for all. And now, a few YBF celebs have gone from protesting on social media to actually hitting the streets and making their voices heard.

Yesterday, Tyrese, his daughter Shayla Gibson and entertainment executive Steve Jones hit the streets to raise awareness at the Black Out Hollywood Rally. The Fast & Furious star marched with protestors dressed in all black as they yelled out chants and sang songs during the demonstration.
 

Not only did they trek the streets, they also stretched out across Hollywood Boulevard along with other protestors holding up signs which read "We Can't Breathe". Powerful.

Singer/song writer Kevin McCall was amongst those protesting in Hollywood yesterday. He hopped on the mic for a few words of empowerment.

Diddy's son Quincy was also dressed in black, ready to march on with protestors. 

Robert Riley, who stars on VH1's "Hit the Floor", was engaged in a heated debate with a man on the street on the differences and similarities between the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case and the Michael Brown/Darren Wilson case. Check it:

Actress/comedian Yvette Nicole Brown stood in solidarity holding up "We Can't Breathe" signs.

While overseas, rapper The Game raised awareness in Milan, Italy. He laid out in the streets of Italy with some locals before hitting the stage posing in the universal "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" stance:

It was a family affair at the Annie premiere in NYC Sunday night.  We've got the cute pics of The Carters, Lala & Kiyan, Jamie Foxx and his daughter and DeVon Franklin with wife Meagan Good inside!

Celebs showed up to the Ziegfeld Theater Sunday night to celebrate one of Hollywood's biggest films of the season, Annie.  

The Carters are fresh off a trip to Iceland where they celebrated Mr. Carter's 45th birthday last week.  Producer Jay-Z was spotted making an entrance Sunday night while being the ever doting dad and carrying little Blue Ivy into the big event.  And mama Beyoncé made sure her little girl's cape was just right for the cameras:

Papa Hov carried Blue (who's getting super tall) past the mob scene of fans and the tot seemed unbothered as she smiled and waved.

DeVon Franklin, who was an integral part of SONY bringing the musical to the big screen, hit the carpet with his fab actress wife Meagan Good.

Will Smith had some fun with the Annie kids on the carpet.

Little Quvenzhané Wallis, jeweled out in a Deepa Gurnani hair clip and custom-embellished Converse sneakers, posed it up with her co-star, "Sandy".

Jamie Foxx brought his daughter Annalise (and her friend) to get a taste of the Hollywood life.

And LaLa Anthony is back from filming her new Destined movie in Detroit.  The hot mom rocked a red two piece crop top and skirt and boots look as she brought her stylish son Kiyan on the carpet.  Cute!

Seattle Seahawks star Russell Wilson got blasted on Twitter for an "alleged" affair with a fellow NFL player's girlfriend.  More inside.  

Twitter is a messy playground for the broken hearted, and even the men of the NFL are vulnerable to heartache.  Earlier today, Detroit Lion tight end Joseph Jules Fauria put Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson on blast for having an "alleged" affair with his girlfriend.

While Russ has not responded to the accusation, one person who has thrown his hat in the ring is Brennan Clay. You'll recall that he accused Dallas Cowboys running back DeMarco Murray of having an affair with his wife.

Brennan responded to Joseph's tweet by offering some advice of his own, "Swerve on These...."

Over the weekend, Oprah held a special brunch in Santa Barbara to honor the civil rights leaders who helped pave the way. Also, President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a reception at the White House to honor the Kennedy Center honorees. Peep the pics inside….

Upcoming SELMA star and producer Oprah Winfrey pulled out the red carpet for many of the civil rights activists that dedicated their lives to the Civil Rights Movement.

Over the weekend, Oprah hosted a special brunch in Santa Barbara to celebrate the “Legends of SELMA” and civil rights pioneers who have paved the way. These brave African-Americans participated in marches from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, which eventually led to the passage of the 1965 Voting Rights Act, following the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

And what better way to celebrate their efforts than to treat them to a day of fellowship and worship before the screening of the upcoming SELMA flick, chronicling the life of famed civil rights activist Martin Luther King, Jr.
 

"EXTRA" correspondent AJ Calloway came to honor the civil rights legends who came before him. And he brought his mother along with him as they caught a quick photo-op with the hostess with the mostest.

After AJ recited The Lord’s Prayer during the event, he caught up legendary actress Phylicia Rashad, iconic singer/songwriter Bill Withers and the fab Angela Bassett (who makes her directional debut in LIFETIME’s Whitney Houston biopic on Jan. 17th).

“News One Now” analyst Roland Martin and ABC series mastermind Shonda Rhimes were also on the scene.

“Instant Mom” actress Holly Robinson Peete and her husband Rodney Peete snapped it up with legendary civil rights activist and journalist Myrlie Evers-Williams.

Political strategist Donna Brazile and SELMA director Ava DuVernay were all smiles at the event.

Roland also caught an "us"sie with director George Lucas and his wife Mellody Hobson. Fab times!

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama hosted a special reception for this year’s Kennedy Center honorees at the White House yesterday.

After suffering from a sore throat (caused by acid reflux) President Obama was all smiles as he welcomed the five Kennedy Center honorees during a reception before the big gala.
 

Our fashion forward First Lady looked gorgeous, per usual, in a blush Monique Lhuillier and Sutra jewels as she walked in holding hands with her husband.

Legendary musician Al Green was amongst the five honorees of the evening including rocker Sting, actor Tom Hanks, comedienne Lily Tomlin and ballerina Patricia McBride.

“The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg took the podium to say a few words about the iconic singer. Notably, she said,“Al Green can caress a lyric like no one else.” Taking a break from his "UR Experience" tour, Usher was also in attendance. He was tapped to sing a rendition of Al’s classic hit “Let’s Stay Together”.
 

Our fave YBF ballerina Misty Copeland saluted ballerina Patricia McBride with a beautiful dance in her honor.

And Bruno Mars closed out the night with a medley of The Police hits "So Lonely", "Roxanne" and "Message in the Bottle". Nice!

Hip Hop mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs and Canadian-born rapper Drake reportedly came to blows outside of a Miami hotspot over the weekend.  Find out why inside...

The word on the street is that Diddy laid hands on Drake and sent him to hospital...real quick! We know you're wondering, what could possibly cause such a stir between those two?

According to Page Six, Diddy and Drake got into a fight outside of Liv at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami during DJ Khaled's birthday party. Sources on the ground claim the physical altercation stemmed from a "musical" misunderstanding.

The source said, “Drake and Diddy got into it outside the club. They were arguing over the rights to a song, and got into a physical fight. Diddy claimed that Drake was using music without the proper rights.”

DJ Sam Sneaker, (he's Rick Ross' offical DJ), watched the fight go down, so he posted his own "report", claiming the fight WAS NOT about Cassie and that Drake dislocated his shoulder!

Neither Diddy or Drake have commented about the fight on social media, but we imagine Drake will rap about it.

K. Michelle’s hit the club scene to celebrate the release of her sophomore album.  Meanwhile, Draya and her on-again beau Orlando Scandrick hosted a holiday party for group of their closest friends and family. Peep the pics inside….

Last night, K. Michelle and all of her “rebels” took over Compound nightclub in Atlanta to celebrate her sophomore album.

Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart? is set to drop tomorrow. And to celebrate, she partied it up with her fans with a fun-filled night of dancing, sipping and singing.

Of course, she posed it up with some of her "rebels" for an "us"sie.

And even signed autographs throughout the night. Nice.

Speaking of her new album....

 The "Love Em All" singer has created a 6-minute mini movie for the visuals to her track "Something About The Night". In the Child Basquiat-directed clip K channels legendary jazz singer Billie Holiday in a 1940's jazz club as she battles alcoholism, a booming career and a controlling male counterpart. The full 6-minute mini movie will premiere Tuesday, December 9th on BET's "106 & Park" to coincide with the release of Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart?. Peep the video trailer above.

And at another party...

Since becoming “on-again”, “Basketball Wives L.A” star Draya and Dallas Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick are doing what most couples do around the holidays…host a party!

Over the weekend, Draya and Orlando invited some of their closest friends and family for a night of holiday festivities, complete with an ugly Christmas sweater theme.
 

And as you can see, there were plenty of spirits to keep the party "lit".

We spot Draya's "BBW LA" co-stars Malaysia and Brandi in the mix too. Fun times.
