Some of Atlanta's most famous faces showed up for a private white party hosted by The Bailey Agency founder Cynthia Bailiey, celebrating the opening of Industry Studios.  Co-owned by famed photographer Derek Blanks, I.S. is described as a fashion, photography and beauty studio and will also serve as a second location for the Bailey Agency.

And many of theCarry-On Baggage author's "RHOA" family came out to support her. She posed it up with Nene and Gregg Leakes and fellow "RHOA" co-star Porsha Stewart.

Porsha brought along her sister, who looks more like her twin.

ATL's Satchel posted a shot with Phaedra Parks and Apollo Nida.  Pha Pha's lookin good since having that second baby.

Kandi Burruss was spotted posing with Cynthia's co-author and husband Peter Thomas. She tweeted, "Chocolate looks good in white! Lol! @peterthomasrhoa looks great!"  We agree.   Peter does look good!

As Kerry Washington and her "Scandal" co-stars head back to work, the Emmy nominee opened up about her Emmy nod, what viewers can expect next season and even spoke about her secret wedding.  Find out what Kerry revealed inside.....  

As the cast of "Scandal" (shown atop) reported back to work for a table read of the season premiere episode, "It's Handled", they had lots to celebrate and talk about.  

In addition to guest actor Dan Bucatinsky landing an Emmy  nomination for his role as TV journalist James Novack (Cyrus Beene’s husband), lead actress Kerry Washington became the first African American woman to earn a best actress Emmy nomination in 18 years! And who could forget about her secret wedding to San Francisco 49ers cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha! 

Though Kerry clearly had a lot on her plate, she did manage to break from the reading and speak to PEOPLE about her nuptials. 

"I don't talk about my personal life in the press, but I will say I'm really happy. I'm blessed in all areas of my life."

And thought she remained mum on the details about her wedding, at least PEOPLE was able to get a reaction out of Kerry.  When Entertainment Weekly asked her about the nuptials, she politely shut them down saying, "I thank you for your congratulations, and that is where that conversation will end." OUCH.

What Kerry was willing to talk about was her excitement over her recent Emmy nomination for Lead Actress in "Scandal" She told PEOPLE,

"I'm the luckiest broad in showbiz. I just feel really blessed and humbled and grateful for this nomination."

And when asked how she got the news about her nomination, Kerry was a bit more open with EW saying,

"I was getting on a plane to fly back to LA from northern California. I was at the airport, and it was that wonderful thing — you know how you’re always a little preoccupied at the airport? You’re trying to get the right food to take on the flight with you. I had my dog with me, and I had to walk her, and go through security. [Laughs] My hands were full, and it was really nice to be so distracted. And then my phone rang and I saw that it was my publicist/friend Michelle, and I was like, Oh, oh, yeah. Whoa. I wonder what she’s calling to say."

 And for fans eager to find out what's going to happen next season on "Scandal", Kerry revealed that she doesn't have a clue about what's coming up.    

I’m really excited to read the script. It’s totally cold reading, of course. So we’re all dying inside with anticipation. Just, like, who will be at the table read? Will Scott Foley [who was made a series regular] be at the table read, or will he not be at the table read because his character is in the hole for the whole first episode? Will Joe Morton be at the table read as my dad, or no? Where do we start? We have no clue. So that’s super exciting. And also for me, I’m just so excited that I get to see everybody and hug everybody and thank everybody today, because to me, this nomination is really a reflection of this cast, how we inspire each other and how we elevate each other.

And of course, everyone is wondering if she'll bring her new husband to the Emmys in September.  She coyly replied, "I have not decided who will be my date. That was my parents' question this morning! We'll see."

We will be watching. Congrats Kerry!

Actress Rae Dawn Chong, who co-starred with Oprah Winfrey in The Color Purple was caught bashing the mogul, calling her the "B" word, making fun of her weight and comparing her to a field n*gger.  See what else she said inside and get the latest developments on the name battle regarding "The Butler."

Rae Dawn Chong, who rose to fame in films like Soul Man, Commando and The Color Purple,  bashed her former co-star Oprah Winfrey during a shocking rant on Matty P's Radio Happy Hour  that's probably the most insulting thing ever said about Oprah Winfrey....on the record.  Rae clearly has no issue taking on one of the world's most powerful women saying, 

Oprah is a "great brown-noser. If you're in a room with her, she'll pick the most powerful person and she'll become best friends with them. When we worked with her ... she was that fat chick that was the ... wannabe cheerleader that was the student council president that was best friends with the principal ... she was that fat chick in school that did everything and everybody loved her. That's Oprah -- love me, love me, love me."

So where did things go wrong between Mary Agnes and Miss Sophia? Rae says,"She was lovely [on The Color Purple]," It was after when I did Commando and I was starring with Maria Shriver's husband in the movie. That's when she was a total bioootch."

But the interview wasn't all salty. There was a bit of sugar thrown in.

"You gotta respect her, no matter how vile she is — 'cause ultimately she's all about Oprah and she's boring — but aside from that, you gotta kinda go, 'Hello, hats off, you have done an amazing thing. You have actually shifted the DNA of the universe."

But after a little sugar....Rae lashed out with, "She took a woman, if you look at the way she looks -- 60 years ago she would have been a housekeeper, luckily. She would not have been a house (n-word), she would've been a field (n-word)."

But just as sure as she tears Ms. Winfrey down, she extends a hand to lift her up.

"We have to give her props. ... I have to stop and say this woman is a miracle and I respect her and I say kudos to you and I don't give two cents about the other parts of it. She shifted the DNA in terms of our thinking of a woman of a certain size and a certain shape. I love her for that. I don't care what she's about, I don't care that I know her ins and outs, I just think that she's done a lot. I love her for that."

Ummm.....we haven't seen Rae on the big screen for a very long time so we don't think Oprah will destroy her career (we don't think she has one).  But you have to wonder what's going through someone's mind when they go at Oprah in such a public way.  

And in other Oprah Winfrey news....

We told you earlier about Oprah Winfrey landing a starring role in the "The Butler" alongside Forest Whitaker and Terrence Howard, but we're not so sure if the movie will still be called "The Butler" by the time it hits the big screen on August 16.  

Today at the Sherman Oaks offices of the MPAA, The Weinstein Co. will plead its case over the naming rights to Lee Daniels’-directed “The Butler”.  The company hit a hurdle once Warner Bros. sought to stop them from going forward with their use of the title.  It turns out that WB owns the rights to a 1916 comedy named "The Butler" and they're under the impression that moviegoers might get the two confused.  SMH.  

And Harvey Weinstein has called in some heavy hitters in this battle of the butlers.  He's enlisted Jesse Jackson, NAACP president and CEO Ben Jealous and national chairman of the Congress of Racial Equality Roy Innis. The three released a joint statement saying,

"We are all watching and waiting for the results of today's arbitration and hoping that Warner Bros. and the MPAA make the right decision on this important movie about civil rights," the three said in a statement."

We thought Kanye West  made it clear a few days ago when he said,"Don't Talk Ever Again", but one photographer didn't get the memo.  Watch Kanye put them paws on him inside.....

LAPD's Pacific Division launched a battery investigation earlier today after Kanye West allegedly attacked a photographer at Los Angeles International Airport.

According to the LA Times, the incident was reported around 2 p.m. on Friday.

Police said a scuffle went down after a photographer continued to take pictures of Kanye after Yeezus told him to stop. TMZ reports that after the photographer began fielding Kanye with questions, Kanye "attacked, attempting several punches".

The scuffle was quickly broken up and Kanye jumped into a waiting car before police arrived. Also, paramedics were called to the scene after the paparazzo complained of injuries. However, folks on the scene said they saw no immediate or visible signs of injury.

We smell a lawsuit.......

UPDATE

TMZ reports that Kanye West has been named a felony suspect in the airport attack. Police are claiming that Kanye committed an attempted robbery when he assaulted the photographer and tried to jack his camera.

The case has now been transferred to the Robbery Homicide Unit and cops are currently putting a file together.

Earlier today, President Obama offered his thoughts about the tragic death of Trayvon Martin and gave commentary on race relations in America.  Watch it inside....

President Obama made a surprise statement to the nation earlier today, about the Trayvon Martin murder, race relations, and shared some insight into the social struggles that Black men face.  Watch the video above and read the transcript below...

I wanted to come out here, first of all, to tell you that Jay is prepared for all your questions and is very much looking forward to the session. The second thing is I want to let you know that over the next couple of weeks, there’s going to obviously be a whole range of issues -- immigration, economics, et cetera -- we'll try to arrange a fuller press conference to address your questions.

The reason I actually wanted to come out today is not to take questions, but to speak to an issue that obviously has gotten a lot of attention over the course of the last week -- the issue of the Trayvon Martin ruling. I gave a preliminary statement right after the ruling on Sunday. But watching the debate over the course of the last week, I thought it might be useful for me to expand on my thoughts a little bit.

First of all, I want to make sure that, once again, I send my thoughts and prayers, as well as Michelle’s, to the family of Trayvon Martin, and to remark on the incredible grace and dignity with which they’ve dealt with the entire situation. I can only imagine what they’re going through, and it’s remarkable how they’ve handled it.

The second thing I want to say is to reiterate what I said on Sunday, which is there’s going to be a lot of arguments about the legal issues in the case -- I'll let all the legal analysts and talking heads address those issues. The judge conducted the trial in a professional manner. The prosecution and the defense made their arguments. The juries were properly instructed that in a case such as this reasonable doubt was relevant, and they rendered a verdict. And once the jury has spoken, that's how our system works. But I did want to just talk a little bit about context and how people have responded to it and how people are feeling.

You know, when Trayvon Martin was first shot I said that this could have been my son. Another way of saying that is Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago. And when you think about why, in the African American community at least, there’s a lot of pain around what happened here, I think it’s important to recognize that the African American community is looking at this issue through a set of experiences and a history that doesn’t go away.

There are very few African American men in this country who haven't had the experience of being followed when they were shopping in a department store. That includes me. There are very few African American men who haven't had the experience of walking across the street and hearing the locks click on the doors of cars. That happens to me -- at least before I was a senator. There are very few African Americans who haven't had the experience of getting on an elevator and a woman clutching her purse nervously and holding her breath until she had a chance to get off. That happens often.

Chicago residents got a big dose of Siovaughn Wade's anger, bitterness and resentment today as she sat on a busy street downtown with a sign that claimed she was "on the streets".  

Now that Siovaughn has dropped the million dollar lawsuit she filed against Dwyane Wade (claiming he stiffed her out of money during their divorce), it looks like she's trying to shame him into upgrading her life. 

We know Siovaughn must get sick to her stomach every time she sees Gabrielle Unionboo'd up with her childhood sweetheart, living the life she imagined for herself.

Sadly....we don't think those science project poster boards are going to get any checks sent her way.

Both Lauryn Hill and Loon have reached out to their fans to express their thanks and to share what they've learned with respect to the legal system.   See the messages they have inside....

Now that she's begun her three-month stint at at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut, Lauryn Hill has had some quiet moments of reflection and is reaching out of to her fans via Tumblr to thank them for her support. Here's her message:

"I have known since very young to look for the purpose and lesson in everything, including the trials. Although it has taken some adjustment, I cannot deny the favor I have encountered while in here, and general warm reception from a community of people who despite their circumstances, have found unique ways to make the best of them. Thank you for the letters of concern and well wishes that I receive in the mail every day. Although I may not be able to write everyone back, please know that they have been received, read, acknowledged, and appreciated. With Love back, MLH"

In other prison letters....

Rapper Loon, who rose to fame with Diddy as part of the Bad Boy family, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison on drug related charges.  Now, Loon is speaking out to fans and attempting to tell his side of the story. In a message, he says,

“In 2008, some individuals had crossed my path who were interested at one point about the music business These individuals called me about something that was totally away from the life I was living. The fact that I responded to these individuals placed me under the umbrella of conspiracy.”

Loon, who now goes by Amir Muhadith says he was falsely fingered him as the ring leader “Because of the way the United States government works, they used the information of the informant and put together an elaborate story to make it look like I had a leadership role.”

Music's most powerful couple, Jay Z and Beyonce appeared at a memorial for Trayvon Martin today. See pics inside as well as pics and video of Jay Z performing with Justin Timberlake and Alicia Keys at Yankee Stadium and the afterparty pics,

Earlier today, Jay Z and Beyonce attended the ‘Justice for Trayvon Martin’ vigil where they posed (atop) with Rev. Al Sharpton and Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon's mother.

The vigil began with a rally in Harlem before moving down to Lower Manhattan where a peaceful protest and rally was held.

While speaking at the National Action Network Headquarters, Sybrina told the crowd;

“George Zimmerman started the fight and George Zimmerman ended the fight,” Fulton said. “My son died without even knowing who his killer was ... Today it was my son. Tomorrow it might be yours.”

As for how she felt about the verdict, Sybrina said, “We have moved on from the verdict. Of course, we’re hurting. Of course we’re shocked and disappointed. But that just means we have to roll up our sleeves and fight.”

And Friday night...... 

Jay Z threw on a fitted cap and rocked the mic at Yankee Stadium for a sold-out concert.

The show was his first USA stop on the "Legends Of The Summer" tour with Justin TImberlake.  

Jay performed crowd favorites like "99 Problems", "Hard-Knock Life (Ghetto Anthem)", and HGMC tracks "Tom Ford" and "F---WithMeYouKnowIGotIt".

And fellow NY native, Alicia Keys, did a crowd-pleasing cameo.

After Justin put a blues-styled spin on the classic "New York, New York", Jay brought out  Alicia to sing the hook for "Empire State of Mind."

Backstage, Alicia was spotted with her husband, Swizz Beatz (who's produced some of HOVA's biggest hits). 

And after the concert....it's the after party!

Following the concert, Jay and Bey headed over to 40/40 for the official Legends of The Summer after party.

After grabbing a few nibbles, Jay and Bey joined their guests and sipped on D'USSE cocktails.

We imagine that Beyonce must have hopped on a private jet right after the Trayvon Martin rally since she's booked to perform in Detroit tonight.

Despite a string of embarrassingly late arrivals to her own concerts, Rihanna gave a "superstar" wave to the throngs of fans waiting for her to depart her hotel this morning in London.

The stylish starlet, who's set to debut her reality show "Styled To Rock" in the US this fall, wore a very casual pair of overalls which she rolled up to show off her sneakers.

And while signing autographs and posing for pics with fans, The "Phresh Out The Runway" singer showed off her iced-out grill.

Famed rocker Cee-Lo was spotted cruising down Sunset BLVD in one of his classic cars. 

The custom matte black Speedster is just one of Cee-Lo's fancy cars, as he recently purchased an an eco-friendly Fisker Karma super car.

The "Crazy" singer is set to reprise his role as a judge on "The Voice" when Season 5 debuts on September 23.

And since he was aware of the cameras......he didn't mind putting on a little show.

Beyonce, Jay Z, MC Lyte and Jesse Jackson were among the thousands who participated in Trayvon Martin rallies in over 100 cities around the country yesterday.  See photos from around the US inside, and hear the words of encouragement Jamie Foxx shared about Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton.  

Music's most powerful couple, Jay Z and Beyonce, appeared at a memorial for Trayvon Martin in NYC yesterday.

Beyonce was joined by her mother, Tina Knowles, as they walked alongside over 2,000 protestors in Lower Manhattan.  And it's clear that the Trayvon Martin verdict has touched the hearts of the entire Knowles family.  A few day ago, Solange Knowles participated in a rally at Borough Hall in Brooklyn.

The couple posed with Trayvon's mother, Sybrina Fulton and Rev. Al Sharpton and landed on the cover of the NY Daily News.

Rev. Sharpton remarked about the couple's appearance at the rally saying,

"Jay-Z and Beyonce said they didn't want to speak and they didn't come for a photo op. Jay-Z told me, 'I'm a father. Beyoncé is a mother.' We all feel the pain and apprehension – the laws must protect everybody, or it doesn't protect anybody ... We do not come from hate, we come from love of children."

The ‘Justice for Trayvon Martin’ protest began with a press conference at Rev. Sharpton's NAN offices where Sybrina told the crowd;

And in San Diego,

Jamie Foxx and Samuel L. Jackson addressed the racially charged case at Comic-Con in San Diego.  Though he was there to promote his role as the villain Electro in “The Amazing Spider-Man 2," Jaime also offered support to Trayvon's mom, Sybrina.

He also commented on gun violence in America saying,

“When you look at Sandy Hook and Aurora and all these different things where we’re losing our children. Chicago — 67 kids, people killed in a week — we have an epidemic. And it’s up to us as the grown folks to be smart enough and intelligent and nice to each other to have a difference of opinion, but also understand that we have to come to a solution.”

And when Samuel Jackson was asked about the rallies being held in Trayvon's honor in dozens of US cities, he said, he was"encouraged by the attitude of people after the verdict, that people are willing to stand up and take a stand and get out in the streets, and let their voices be heard.”

Fashion mogul Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted on vacation in Saint-Tropez (which is normal...for her) but the shots of her smoking cigs and going topless in front of her kids might make you scratch you head.  See the NSFW pics inside....

Kimora Lee Simmons was spotted on vacation with her family and friends in Saint-Tropez over the weekend.  She tweeted an adorable pic of her kids and captioned, "Ain't nobody messin wit my click..!! #mediterranean".

If you know Kimora's back story, you'll recall that she was the face of Chanel at a very young age.  So she's ALWAYS been "international."

But her "European" behavior aboard her yacht might have some folks scratching their heads.   Seriously....going topless in front of your son isn't very "cookie-cutter" American....but neither is Kimora.  

The rest of Kimora's clique also got an eyefull of her perky bosoms and phenomenal body.  

And she was also seen puffing on a few cigarettes!  At least she stepped away from the kids to get her smoke on.

Brooklyn Nets player Paul Pierce was spotted out with his 3-month-old son Prince yesterday.  Find out where they lunched  inside..... 

Former Boston Celtics small forward Paul Pierce is officially a member of the Brooklyn Nets....a move that seemed to catch him by surprise during a press conference a few days ago. 

"You saw the trade and it's like, 'OK, there's a trade.' But for me to actually be here now, looking for a place to live, being in this arena, trying to get to know my way around the city, it's really starting to sink in now that it's become real.

I'm no longer a Boston Celtic. I'm a Brooklyn Net, and that's what it is right now. It's a business. At some point we all have to move on, and I'm here to try to create some kind of legacy here in Brooklyn."

And over the weekend......

Paul, who seems like he's comfortable in his new city, was spotted out to lunch at one of NYC's most popular lunch spots, Pastis restaurant in the Meatpacking District.

Paul dined with wife Julia and they have two other kids, daughters Prianna and Adrian.

On Friday, Paul really got into an "Empire State of Mind" at the Legends of The Summer Tour. He tweeted, "Hova Timberlake concert off the chain here n Yankee Stadium".

Academy-award winning actress Halle Berry (shown above with actor Ian McKellen and actress Anna Paquin) spoke on  the 20th Century Fox "X-Men: Days of Future Past" panel at the 2013 Comic Con International at the San Diego Convention Center.

The proud newlywed and mom-to-be was on site to promote her role as Storm in X: MAN: Days of Future Past.

Rocker Lenny Kravitz spoke on a panel for "I, Frankenstein."

Also, Lenny was on hand to present the trailer for his next film, Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Samuel Jackson, who spoke about the Trayvon Martin verdict during the convention, was on hand to promote his role in Captain America:  The Winter Soldier.

Actot Michael Ealy, who attended several events during the convention, announced that he'll appear alongside Karl Urban, Lili Taylor, and Minka Kelly in "Almost Human" this fall.

Actress Kat Graham attended Entertainment Weekly's Annual Comic-Con Celebration at Float at Hard Rock Hotel .

All eye were on Zoe Saldana in her Balmain jumpsuit, Christian Louboutin shoes, and Dana Rebecca Designs jewelry.

Zoe was in town to join Chris Pratt on a panel to discuss their film Guardians of the Galaxy.

Over the weekend, Savannah Brinson, celebrated her engagement to NBA MVP LeBron James with a bridal shower at her gorgeous home. See Savannah's family and friends celebrate her "Last Fling Before The Ring" bridal shower inside..... 

Over the past few weeks, we've watched Savannah Brinson at a string of events, counting down the last days until she becomes "Queen James".  

 And over the weekend......

Savannah invited a group of her closest family and friends to her home for a luxe bridal shower celebration.  

The festivities included Savannah and all her friends posing with a stripper pole and wearing "naughty" party whistles amongst an array of pink and purple balloons.

During the day.......

Savannah rocked the gorgeous white "Ursula" gown from J.Crew with a gold belt, as she welcomed guests to her into her immaculate backyard.   

She and her besties posed for tons of flicks by the pool.

And while indoors, Savannah bonded with family members and took a loving photo with one of her sons, tweeting"Me and my Tinky!!"

The ladies played a variety of bridal shower games, including "Pin The Bowtie On LeBron".

And as the ladies dined on chicken and waffles and grilled shrimp, they used printed napkins reading, "Cheers to the future Mrs. James.  Though the couple has been very secretive about the details, we suspect the San Diego nuptials will happen on September 14.
